• Gwanghwamun Plaza: The redesigned Gwanghwamun Square has just opened to the public on Aug 1st, 2009. Located at the center of the 600-Year old historic city of Seoul, you can see the statue of King Sejong the Great who invented Korean Alphabet ‘Hangul’ and the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin.

• Bukchon Hanok Village: BukchonHanok village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called Hanok.These hanok are closely packed together, which make it a great photo spot for you to take. • Insadong Antique Street: located in the heart of the city, Insadong is a unique place where you can see ancient but precious and traditional goods on display. • Cheongyecheon stream: The stream has 600 years of story to tell. It was once neglected after the Korean War, because it was soon filled with trash as many people settled down along the stream. However, it was restored in 2005 and became an example of successful restoration in megacity.

• Suwon Hwaseong Fortress: Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is the wall surrounding the center of Suwon, the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This Korean fortress was built from 1794 to 1796 by King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty to house and honor the remains of his father Prince Sado. Located 30 kilometers south of Seoul and enclosing much of central Suwon, the Fortress includes King Jeongjo’s palace Haenggung. The site was designated as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO in 1997. The Suwoncheon, the main stream in Suwon, flows through the center of the fortress.

• Imjingak Park: Located at 7 km from the military Demarcation Line, the park has many statues and monuments about the Korean War. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification will be possible and also to console those from both North and South who are unable to return to their families.
• The 3rd infiltration Tunnel: Discovered in 1978 by South Korean forces, the tunnel spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. It is considered to be more threatening than the 1st and 2nd tunnels.
• DMZ Theater/ Exhibition Hall: A place which shows 15 min video that explains about the tunnels including 3rd infiltration tunnel and the Korean War.
• Dora Observatory: Located nearby the 3rd Tunnel, Dora observatory was first opened to the public in 1987. Here, you can overlook North Korea and various locations including Gaeseong, Songaksan, Kim Il-Sung Statue, and Cooperation Farm (Geumamgol).

Seoul > Gongju, Buyeo

• Gongsanseong Fortress: Located in Gongju-si, Gongsanseong Fortress is a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period (234-678). The castle is about 2.5km long. It was initially known as Ungjinseong and subsequently as Gongsanseong during the reign of the Goryeo Dynasty. It occupies an area of 20 hectares (49 acres), presently in the Geumseong-dong and Sanseong-dong districts. Following the collapse of the Baekje empire, the ramparts were rebuilt fully as stone walls. The fortress has been illuminated. It functioned both as a defense structure and a royal palace.
• Royal Tomb of King Muryeong: The Royal Tomb of King Muryeong belongs to the 25th king of Baekje. It is also known as the Royal Tombs in Songsan-ri or the Royal Tombs of Baekje. It is located on top of a small hill (elevation 75 meters (246 ft)) on the southern side of the Geumgang River. It was unearthed in 1971 in an intact condition, though some excavations had been carried out in 1927 and 1932. When excavated, the King’s tomb was found in a well-preserved state with its more than 4,600 antiquities in good condition. The King’s queen was also buried here. This was part of six other tombs found among the Royal Tombs at Songsan-ri.

• Busosanseong Fortress of Buyeo: Located on a small hill, it was known in the early period as Sabiseong. It formed the backyard garden of the royal palace and was an emergency escape route. The finds here also indicate that the fort was in use as a military establishment for more than 1,000 years. The ‘Nakhwaam Rock’, meaning “Rock of Falling Flowers”, a rock ledge, is known for the Baekje’s tragic legend of 3,000 royal ladies committing suicide by jumping off the cliff.
• Five-story Stone Pagoda of Jeongnimsa Temple Site: It has a “pagoda–prayer hall–lecture hall” architectural layout which has been popular layout throughout Korea. It is located on a flat terrain and is in the backdrop of the Geumseongsan Mountain to the east and Busosan Mountain to the north. Built during the Sabi period, the temple has engravings on the pagoda that memorialize the Tang Dynasty’s victory over Baekje. The site has a five-story pagoda, 8 metres (26 ft) in height with a low platform and a high main body on its first level, and with reducing size at further higher levels. Other archaeological finds include many roof tiles and clay figurines.
• Buyeo National Museum: Buyeo National Museum is a national museum located in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Since Buyeo was once the capital of the Baekje kingdom during the Sabi period (538-660), the Museum is fully devoted to the Baekje culture.
• Gungnamji Pond: Located in Seodong Park is Korea’s first artificial pond and was created by King Mu (from the Baekje Dynasty) who was in love with and eventually married Princess Seonhwa. ‘Gungnamji’ (literally means ‘a pond in the south of the royal palace’ in Korean) was named according to the Samguksagi record.
• Neungsalli Ancient Tombs in Buyeo: The Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs were the royal tombs of the Baekje Dynasty from 538 to 660 when the capital of Baekje was Sabi (now Buyeo). In the Baekje Gobun Miniature Museum at the entrance to Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs, mockups and miniature tombs are on display with their cross sections exposed. Here, one can view all kinds of Baekje tombs including stone mounds of the Hanseong Era as well as those discovered in Buyeo.

• Hyupjae Beach: It is one of the popular places that many tourists visit all year round. The white sand beach has extra fine sand mixed with shells that glitters with silver, and the emerald-colored water is crystal clear. • O’Sulloc Tea garden/ Innisfree: Here, you can learn about Korea’s traditional tea culture. Interestingly, the entire building takes the shape of a green tea cup. It seeks to harmonize the cultures of the West and East, and past traditions with the modern world. You can enjoy unique O’Sulloc teas or views of the nearby green tea fields and the surrounding landscape in the observatory, located at the second floor of the building.

• Sanbangsan Mt.: It is a trachytic tuff lave dome connected to the sedimentary layer of Dragon coast. It is a bell-shaped tholoid that stands tall in the plains of Southwest Jeju.
• Jusangjeoli Cliff [UNESCO GEO Park]: The columnar joints in the Jungmun Tourism Complex were designated as Natural Monument #433 on December 27, 2004. They look like a large folding screen with black hexagon stone pillars. It is a wonder to look at the columnar joints with beautiful ocean waves crashing against them.  
• Teddy Bear Museum: It offers a lot of interesting things to see with various themes such as history and art of Seoul and a tour around the world, in addition to teddy bear’s history of more than 100 years. Displayed Teddy bears are handmade by designers with premium goat wool for high quality. There are other teddy bear-related products available.
• Jeongbang Waterfall: Jeongbang Waterfall is one of three main Jeju waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Cheonjaeyeon Waterfall. It is the only one in Korea which spills directly into the sea. Harmonized with the sea, two 23m-tall columns of water fall with a sound like thunder which makes a magnificent view.
• 1,100 Altitude Wetland: Above 1,100m from sea level, the wetland has been designated as one of the national wetland protected areas. You can take a look at observatory and service area. Also, take a 10-15 min walk through the course and observe diverse species living in the wetlands.
• Mysterious Road: It earned its name ‘Mysterious Road’ because when you place a car on this steep road, the car does not roll down but it goes up, defying gravity. • Dragon-Head Rock: Yongduam or Dragon-Head Rock, was created by strong winds and waves over thousands of years. It got its name because the rock formation has the shape of a dragon’s head. There are two different legends about the rock. Many believe that black dragon symbolizes bravery, hope and good luck.
• IlChul Land: IlCul Land is an ecological and cultural attraction where you can enjoy different themes such as replica folk village, and Micheongul Cave as well as convenient facilities.
• Seongeup Folk Village: It is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture. Cultural properties have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or ox), fortress ruins, and stone monuments.

• Seopji Coji coast: Seopji Coji is located at the end of eastern shore of Jeju Island. You can see nice view of the ocean from the light house even in winter. The place gets covered with yellow canola fields in the spring and 20-30 min. stroll along the coast is recommended.
• Sunrise Peak: Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, it rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. There is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well.

• Gwangan Bridge (Pass By): Gwangan Bridge is the longest bi-level bridge over the ocean in Korea. You can see nearby tourist destinations such as Oryukdo Island, Gwangalli Beach Dongbaek Island and Dalmaji Hill. If you visit at night, beautiful lights are turned on.
• Dongbaek Island: Dongbaek Island in Busan used to be an island, but is now part of the mainland. Although the size of the island is small, it is full of Camellia and evergreens. You can relax and take a stroll on the boardwalk path along the coast. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

• Sea Life Aquarium: With 8 amazing themed zones, there are over 250 marine life species and some 10,000 fishes you can see. • Dalmazi Road: Dalmazi Road is famous for a driving course, and its view of the blue ocean, white sand field, Camellia forest, and pine tree forest, creating one of Busan’s eight scenic sites.
• Haedongyonggungsa Temple: Haedongyonggungsa Temple is located on the rocky cliffs above the North-Eastern part of the ocean. The location of the temple is interesting, because most temples are located in the mountains. You can see beautiful view of the ocean. Busan > Gyeongju

• Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Tumuli Park): Tumuli or barrows are mound of earth and stones raised over graves. The Tomb complex holds 23 burials of royals during Silla Dynasty. Among many tombs, Cheonmachong Tomb (Ancient Tomb No, 155) is arguable one of the important tombs to see, because a total of 11,526 artifacts were discovered within the tomb. Great quantities of artifacts such as weapons and crowns have been excavated and are exhibited in Gyeongju National Museum.

• Cheomseongdae Observatory: Cheomseongdae is the oldest astrological observatory in Asia, which was constructed between AD632-646 (Silla Dynasty). It was designated as National Treasure No.31 in 1962. Total 362 stones were used to make 27 levels and it represented the 362 days in a lunar year.
• Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond: Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings and it also was the banquet site for important national event and important visitors.
• Bulguksa Temple: Also listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage, it is the representative relic of Gyeogju. Bulguksa was built during Silla Dynasty and took 30 years to finish it. At the time, there were approximately 80 buildings and 2000 rooms. It was burnt down during Japanese Invasion and although the temple was rebuilt afterwards, it still suffered severe damages and became often the target of robbers.
• Seokguram Grotto: A representative stone temple in Korea, Seokguram is designated as National Treasure No. 24, as well as UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a good example to see the Silla people’s religious beliefs, aspirations and outstanding architecture. You can appreciate beautiful sunrise, so many people climb the mountain at daybreak.

• Gukje Market: Among one of traditional markets in Korea, Gukje market was first formed when refugees who fled to Busan sat up stalls in order to make a living after the Korean War. There is wide variety of goods, so you can walk around and also check some food stalls.
