An Unforgettable Chuseok Holiday
Every year, Korean will have 5 days holidays during Chuseok, one of their important holidays. Wondering how to spend the long holidays? Want to spend them in a meaningful way? Let me recommend you the Authentic Korea – a 5-days tour launch by our company this Chuseok!
The tour would be held from 18th (Saturday) to 22nd (Wednesday) September and begin in Seoul. You could choose among 2 routes, Western or Eastern depending on which special experiences you are more interested in. They both begin in Seoul and end at Busan,
Western Tour
For the Western tour, you would be able to travel, experience and learn about the western part of Korea.
On Day 1, we are going to Yongin and Visiting Waujeongsa Temple where contains approximately 3,000 buddha statues; Oeam Folk Village where was formed over 500 years ago. Traditional farming village provides various activities and programs for visitors to enjoy. We are going to experience Fan making, Yeot making experience here.; and the Cheong Nam Dae where is ‘Blue House of Southern Region!’ During this past 20 years, five Presidents made plans and decisions on important government affairs here. We will spend the night in Daejeon.
On Day 2, we will leave from Daejeon to Gongju and Jeonju. Touring the Gongsanseong Fortress, a historical and cultural significance mountain castle that is famous for its scenery of the Geumgang rivers and the walking trail; the Gongju Songsanri Tombs and Royal Tomb King Muryeong [UNESCO World Heritage] that serve the importance of baekje culture; the Gongju National Museum for an lecture over Chungcheongnam-do and Daejeon areas, the Magoksa temple [UNESCO World Heritage] that had gone through all major wars including Japanese Invasion in 1592 and the Korea War; and the Hanok Village [SLOW CITY] that retains its historical charms and traditions throughout industrialization. We will spend the night in Jeonju.
On Day 3, we will departure from Jeonju to Mt. Maisan, Gurye and Mt. Jirisan. Go on a trip through Mt. Maisan [CNN recommended/ Tapsa temple] that is famous for the over 80 stone pagodas built by scholar Lee Gapyong; Bamboo Forest and Saseongam Observatory; and the Hwaeomsa temple (Mt. Jirisan), one of the 10 most famous temples and the first designated national park in Korea. We will spend the night at Mt. Jirisan.
On Day 4, we will leave Mt. Jirisan to Habong and Namhae and Busan. Have our journey through Hwagaejangteo Traditional market that is one of the 5 biggest traditional Korean market; taste Korean Tea at the Green Tea farm 하동 천년차밭길 that is also famous for its 2.7 km tea-scented walking trail; and Gacheon Daraengi Village famous for terraced rice paddies on a steep hill on the outskirts of Seolheulsan Mountain; and Namhae Geumsan Boriam Hermitage known as one of the most prestigious prayer spots in Korea. We will spend the night at Busan
The Western tour will thus end in Busan and return to Seoul on Day 5
Eastern Tour
For the Eastern Tour, you would be able to travel, experience and learn about the eastern part of Korea.
On Day 1, we begin our journey in Seoul to Gapyeong and Mt. Seoraksan. Spending our first day at The Garden of Morning Clam that is a world-wide famous of Korean beauty; Sinheungsa Temple and Gwongeumseong Fortress (Mt. Seoraksan) by cable car to the highest peak among the taebaek mountain range and the most beautiful mountain in Korea. We will stay at Sokcho overnight.
On Day 2, departing from Mt. Seoraksan, we will head to Danyang and Yeongju. Touring the Danyang river jando trail, a 1.2-kilometer-long trekking path along the Namhangang River; Mancheonha Skywalk And visit the rice wine brewery in Yeongju to experience making Korean Traditional rice wine; and Sosuseowon Confucian academy [UNSEO World Heritage] that was the first private Confucian academy supported and acknowledged by the king. We will stay in Yeongju for the night.
On Day 3, we will leave from Yeongju to Yeongdok and Gyengju. Visit The Memorial Hall for Jangsari Landing Operation and Driving 918 coastal road and Sunrise observatory and Samsa marine park which is located south of Gangguhang Port, overlooking the expansive East Sea. ; and Gyeongju Yandong Folk Village [UNESCO World Heritage] that is the largest Korean village. We will stay at Gyeongju overnight.
On Day 4, we will travel from Gyeongju to Busan. Touring through Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Cheonmachong Tomb) that is the Tomb of heavenly horse; the Cheomseongdae Observatory that is the heart of Silla’s history; the Hwangridangil Street that you might find it interesting since many hotels and cafes are now operating in traditional Hanok house; the Donggung Place and Wolji Pond that was a palace for princes during Joseon Dynasty; and the Bulguksa Temple [UNESCO World Heritage], a representative relic of Buddhist culture from the Silla. We will spend the night at Busan.
The Eastern tour will thus end in Busan and return to Seoul on Day 5
