Hey guys! The pandemic is over, and it is time for us to go to South Korea and join a concert!
What I’m going to share with you are tips on the whole progress of going to a K-pop concert or fans meeting, from buying tickets to watching the show.
Buying a Ticket Online
The first thing, which is the most important thing, is buying a ticket online. Two ticket-selling websites are normally used, “yes24” and “interpark”. The artists of SM Entertainment mainly use yes24 to sell tickets. I used to buy tickets here too! So let me show the real ticket buying progress to you by yes24.
Join a Fans Club Membership
Most of the K-pop Idols have their own fans club membership. What you have to do is to buy the fans club membership account. From the 11th of September, most memberships can buy from the “Weverse” app. After applying for those memberships, you will have the opportunity to join the pre-sale. But remember to do the fans club authentication before the deadline. Or you have to wait for the general sale, which is harder to get the tickets. Please ensure all your names are on the fans club and selling websites are the same as your passport. On pre-sale day, after logging in, you must click on the dates you want to watch and choose the seat you want. It’s all about your internet speed and also your luck. Here are the little tips. If you buy a ticket overseas, use the VPN for faster loading. Also, be aware of the Korean Times and your local time. Credit cards and PayPal are always available for the payment.
Concert Preparation
For the concert preparation, I’m sure you know how important a light stick is in a concert. Most of them can connect with Bluetooth and are controlled by the official.
The second thing is to bring your passport to prove your identity.
Third, you can be aware of the official dress code. If not, you could wear clothes or accessories related to the fans’ color—for example, Super Junior’s ss9 headkerchief or D&E Fans Con’s flowers. The drawings might be ugly, but it’s fun! Isn’t it?
It’s D-day!
For the D-day of the concert, you can search for information on tickets taking time and the standing getting in time through the ticket-selling website. When you arrive at the ticket box, find the line of your name. For instance, your name is Chan Siu Ming. Go to the C line. If your name is Peter Parker, go to the line P.
You must show the staff your online buying provements. Fans club accounts on your app and your passport. All accounts must be logged in on-site. Screenshots and prints are not accepted. Then the staff will give you the ticket and paper bracelets.
Some of the venues have restrictions on the size of bags. You can put your stuff in the item management station. Around ₩ 4000 (~3.06 USD) is required. Remember to take your item in 30 minutes after the show. There are also MD stations to buy some Idol related products there.
When getting into the stadium, remember not to bring any recording devices. Food is also not allowed, but water is usually fine.
You must usually line up by your ticket number half an hour before the show starts for the standing area. Then you will arrive at the venue an hour before the show begins. For the sitting an hour before the show is allowed to get in the venue.
There must have differences among various concerts. So remember to check for the instruction on ticket-selling websites.
