Gyeongju Tour
Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Tumuli Park): Tumuli or barrows are mound of earth and stones raised over graves. The Tomb complex holds 23 burials of royals during Silla Dynasty. Among many tombs, Cheonmachong Tomb (Ancient Tomb No, 155) is arguable one of the important tombs to see, because a total of 11,526 artifacts were discovered within the tomb. Great quantities of artifacts such as weapons and crowns have been excavated and are exhibited in Gyeongju National Museum.
Cheomseongdae Observatory: Cheomseongdae is the oldest astrological observatory in Asia, which was constructed between AD632-646 (Silla Dynasty). It was designated as National Treasure No.31 in 1962. Total 362 stones were used to make 27 levels and it represented the 362 days in a lunar year.
Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond: Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings and it also was the banquet site for important national event and important visitors.
