• National Folk Museum: It is located on the ground of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The design of the building is based on various historical buildings in Korea. You can see over 98,000 historical objects that were used in everyday life from prehistoric times to the end of Joseon Dynasty.

• Bukchon Hanok Village: BukchonHanok village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called Hanok.These hanok are closely packed together, which make it a great photo spot for you to take. Hanok galleries, Hanok Handicraft Workshops and Hanok restaurants are also available. However, please note that this is a living place for residents and you need keep your voice low.

Seoul Vicinity (Seoul > Suwon)

• Suwon Hwaseong Fortress: Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is the wall surrounding the center of Suwon, the provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This Korean fortress was built from 1794 to 1796 by King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty to house and honor the remains of his father Prince Sado. Located 30 kilometers south of Seoul and enclosing much of central Suwon, the Fortress includes King Jeongjo’s palace Haenggung. The site was designated as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO in 1997. The Suwoncheon, the main stream in Suwon, flows through the center of the fortress.
• Korean Folk Village: Korean Folk Village has since its foundation in 1974 been loved as a tourist destination that provides vivid cultural experience as well as traditional culture set in beautiful nature

Seoul Vicinity (Seoul > DMZ)

• Imjingak Park: Located at 7 km from the military Demarcation Line, the park has many statues and monuments about the Korean War. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification will be possible and also to console those from both North and South who are unable to return to their families.
• The 3rd infiltration Tunnel: Discovered in 1978 by South Korean forces, the tunnel spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. It is considered to be more threatening than the 1st and 2nd tunnels.
• DMZ Theater/ Exhibition Hall: A place which shows 15 min video that explains about the tunnels including 3rd infiltration tunnel and the Korean War.
• Dora Observatory: Located nearby the 3rd Tunnel, Dora observatory was first opened to the public in 1987. Here, you can overlook North Korea and various locations including Gaeseong, Songaksan, Kim Il-Sung Statue, and Cooperation Farm (Geumamgol).
• Unification Village (Pass by): Unification Village or Tongil Chon is a quite village where North Korea can be seen easily.

Seoul > Gongju, Buyeo

• Gongsanseong Fortress: Located in Gongju-si, Gongsanseong Fortress is a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period (234-678). The castle is about 2.5km long. It was initially known as Ungjinseong and subsequently as Gongsanseong during the reign of the Goryeo Dynasty. It occupies an area of 20 hectares (49 acres), presently in the Geumseong-dong and Sanseong-dong districts. Following the collapse of the Baekje empire, the ramparts were rebuilt fully as stone walls. The fortress has been illuminated. It functioned both as a defense structure and a royal palace.
• Royal Tomb of King Muryeong: The Royal Tomb of King Muryeong belongs to the 25th king of Baekje. It is also known as the Royal Tombs in Songsan-ri or the Royal Tombs of Baekje. It is located on top of a small hill (elevation 75 meters (246 ft)) on the southern side of the Geumgang River. It was unearthed in 1971 in an intact condition, though some excavations had been carried out in 1927 and 1932. When excavated, the King’s tomb was found in a well-preserved state with its more than 4,600 antiquities in good condition. The King’s queen was also buried here. This was part of six other tombs found among the Royal Tombs at Songsan-ri.

• Five-story Stone Pagoda of Jeongnimsa Temple Site: It has a “pagoda–prayer hall–lecture hall” architectural layout which has been popular layout throughout Korea. It is located on a flat terrain and is in the backdrop of the Geumseongsan Mountain to the east and Busosan Mountain to the north. Built during the Sabi period, the temple has engravings on the pagoda that memorialize the Tang Dynasty’s victory over Baekje. The site has a five-story pagoda, 8 metres (26 ft) in height with a low platform and a high main body on its first level, and with reducing size at further higher levels. Other archaeological finds include many roof tiles and clay figurines.
• Buyeo National Museum: Buyeo National Museum is a national museum located in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Since Buyeo was once the capital of the Baekje kingdom during the Sabi period (538-660), the Museum is fully devoted to the Baekje culture.
• Gungnamji Pond: Located in Seodong Park is Korea’s first artificial pond and was created by King Mu (from the Baekje Dynasty) who was in love with and eventually married Princess Seonhwa. ‘Gungnamji’ (literally means ‘a pond in the south of the royal palace’ in Korean) was named according to the Samguksagi record.

The white sand beach has extra fine sand mixed with shells that glitters with silver, and the emerald-colored water is crystal clear. • O’Sulloc Tea garden/ Innisfree: Here, you can learn about Korea’s traditional tea culture. Interestingly, the entire building takes the shape of a green tea cup. It seeks to harmonize the cultures of the West and East, and past traditions with the modern world. • Jeongbang Waterfall: Jeongbang Waterfall is one of three main Jeju waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Cheonjaeyeon Waterfall. It is the only one in Korea which spills directly into the sea. Harmonized with the sea, two 23m-tall columns of water fall with a sound like thunder which makes a magnificent view.

• Seopji Coji coast: Seopji Coji is located at the end of eastern shore of Jeju Island. You can see nice view of the ocean from the light house even in winter. The place gets covered with yellow canola fields in the spring and 20-30 min. stroll along the coast is recommended.
• Sunrise Peak: Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, it rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. There is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well.

Gyeongju  > Seoul

• Haedongyonggungsa Temple: Haedongyonggungsa Temple is located on the rocky cliffs above the North-Eastern part of the ocean. The location of the temple is interesting, because most temples are located in the mountains. You can see beautiful view of the ocean. There are many up and down steps, so be prepared to wear comfortable shoes.
• Transfer to Gyeongju. 

• Bulguksa Temple: Also listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage, it is the representative relic of Gyeogju. Bulguksa was built during Silla Dynasty and took 30 years to finish it. At the time, there were approximately 80 buildings and 2000 rooms. It was burnt down during Japanese Invasion and although the temple was rebuilt afterwards, it still suffered severe damages and became often the target of robbers.

• Seokguram Grotto: A representative stone temple in Korea, Seokguram is designated as National Treasure No. 24, as well as UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a good example to see the Silla people’s religious beliefs, aspirations and outstanding architecture. You can appreciate beautiful sunrise, so many people climb the mountain at daybreak.

• Daereungwon King’s Tomb (Cheonmachong Tomb) : Daereungwon King’s Tomb is a historical royal burial site in Gyeongju, home to ancient tombs from the Silla Dynasty. Visitors can explore the Cheonmachong Tomb, where valuable artifacts were discovered, and walk through the peaceful park surrounded by centuries-old heritage.

• Cheomseongdae Observatory: Cheomseongdae is the oldest astrological observatory in Asia, which was constructed between AD632-646 (Silla Dynasty). It was designated as National Treasure No.31 in 1962. Total 362 stones were used to make 27 levels and it represented the 362 days in a lunar year.
