• Gyeongbok Palace: It is the largest palace among the Five Grand Palaces built in Joseon Dynasty. Gyeongbokgung Palace was once destroyed by Japan in the early 20th century. The palace has been gradually restored since then.(Tuesday: Replaced by Changdeokgung Palace)
• National Folklore Museum: It is located on the ground of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The design of the building is based on various historical buildings in Korea. You can see over 98,000 historical objects that were used in everyday life from prehistoric times to the end of Joseon Dynasty.
• Presidential Blue House (Pass by): The Blue House, or Cheong Wa Dae, has blue tiles as the signature markings. These tiles were baked individually so that it can withstand for hundreds of years. The Blue House is actually a complex of buildings and each are uniquely designed, mainly in Korean architectural style with some elements of modern elements.
• Gwanghwamun Plaza: The redesigned Gwanghwamun Square has just opened to the public on Aug 1st, 2009. Located at the center of the 600-Year old historic city of Seoul, you can see the statue of King Sejong the Great who invented Korean Alphabet ‘Hangul’ and the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin.

• Bukchon Hanok Village: BukchonHanok village is home to hundreds of traditional houses, called Hanok.These hanok are closely packed together, which make it a great photo spot for you to take. Hanok galleries, Hanok Handicraft Workshops and Hanok restaurants are also available. However, please note that this is a living place for residents and you need keep your voice low.
• Insadong Antique Street: located in the heart of the city, Insadong is a unique place where you can see ancient but precious and traditional goods on display. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys there are galleries and traditional restaurants, tea houses, and cafes.
• Cheongyecheon stream: The stream has 600 years of story to tell. It was once neglected after the Korean War, because it was soon filled with trash as many people settled down along the stream. However, it was restored in 2005 and became an example of successful restoration in megacity.

• Imjingak Park: Located at 7 km from the military Demarcation Line, the park has many statues and monuments about the Korean War. It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification will be possible and also to console those from both North and South who are unable to return to their families.
• The 3rd infiltration Tunnel: Discovered in 1978 by South Korean forces, the tunnel spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. It is considered to be more threatening than the 1st and 2nd tunnels.
• DMZ Theater/ Exhibition Hall: A place which shows 15 min video that explains about the tunnels including 3rd infiltration tunnel and the Korean War.
• Dora Observatory: Located nearby the 3rd Tunnel, Dora observatory was first opened to the public in 1987. Here, you can overlook North Korea and various locations including Gaeseong, Songaksan, Kim Il-Sung Statue, and Cooperation Farm (Geumamgol).
• Dorasan Station: A railway station on the Gyeongui Line, Dorasan Station is located in the northernmost part of South Korea.
• Unification Village (Pass by): Unification Village or Tongil Chon is a quite village where North Korea can be seen easily.

Seoul > Gongju, Buyeo > Jeonju

• Gongsanseong Fortress: Located in Gongju-si, Gongsanseong Fortress is a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period (234-678). The castle is about 2.5km long. It was initially known as Ungjinseong and subsequently as Gongsanseong during the reign of the Goryeo Dynasty. It occupies an area of 20 hectares (49 acres), presently in the Geumseong-dong and Sanseong-dong districts. Following the collapse of the Baekje empire, the ramparts were rebuilt fully as stone walls. The fortress has been illuminated. It functioned both as a defense structure and a royal palace.
• Royal Tomb of King Muryeong: The Royal Tomb of King Muryeong belongs to the 25th king of Baekje. It is also known as the Royal Tombs in Songsan-ri or the Royal Tombs of Baekje. It is located on top of a small hill (elevation 75 metres (246 ft)) on the southern side of the Geumgang River. It was unearthed in 1971 in an intact condition, though some excavations had been carried out in 1927 and 1932. When excavated, the King’s tomb was found in a well-preserved state with its more than 4,600 antiquities in good condition. The King’s queen was also buried here. This was part of six other tombs found among the Royal Tombs at Songsan-ri.

• Busosanseong Fortress of Buyeo[UNESCO World Heritage]: located on a small hill, was known in the early period as Sabiseong. It formed the backyard garden of the royal palace and was an emergency escape route. The finds here also indicate that the fort was in use as a military establishment for more than 1,000 years.The ‘Nakhwaam Rock’, meaning “Rock of Falling Flowers”, a rock ledge, is known for the Baekje’s tragic legend of 3,000 royal ladies committing suicide by jumping off the cliff.
• Five-story Stone Pagoda of Jeongnimsa Temple Site: Five-story Stone Pagoda of Jeongnimsa Temple Site Jeongnimsa Temple Site layout is a popular architectural layout throughout Korea and has a “pagoda–prayer hall–lecture hall layout. It is located on a flat terrain and is in the backdrop of the Geumseongsan Mountain to the east and Busosan Mountain to the north. Built during the Sabi period, the temple has engravings on the pagoda that memorialize the Tang Dynasty’s victory over Baekje. The site has a five-story pagoda, 8 metres (26 ft) in height with a low platform and a high main body on its first level, and with reducing size at further higher levels. Other archaeological finds include many roof tiles and clay figurines.
• Buyeo National Museum: Buyeo National Museum is a national museum located in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Since Buyeo was once the capital of the Baekje kingdom during the Sabi period (538-660), the Museum is fully devoted to the Baekje culture.
• Gungnamji Pond: located in Seodong Park, is Korea’s first artificial pond and was created by King Mu (from the Baekje Dynasty) who was in love with and eventually married Princess Seonhwa. ‘Gungnamji’ (literally means ‘a pond in the south of the royal palace’ in Korean) was named according to the Samguksagi record.
• Neungsalli Ancient Tombs in Buyeo: The Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs were the royal tombs of the Baekje Dynasty from 538 to 660 when the capital of Baekje was Sabi (now Buyeo). In the BaekjeGobun Miniature Museum at the entrance to Neungsan-ri Ancient Tombs, mockups and miniature tombs are on display with their cross sections exposed. Here, one can view all kinds of Baekje tombs including sto+ne mounds of the Hanseong Era as well as those discovered in Buyeo.

Jeonju > Gwangju

• Jeondong Cathollic Cathedral: Jeondong Catholic Church in Jeonju (Historic Site No. 288) was built in honor of Roman Catholic martyrs of the Joseon Dynasty on the very same spot the martyrs lost their lives.
• Gyeonggijeon: Historic Site No. 339, Gyeonggijeon Shrine was erected in 1410 and holds the portrait of King Tae-jo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty. The King and his wife’s mortuary tablets are enshrined here at Jogyeong Shrine. The structure was partially destroyed during the Imjin War (1592-1598), and the existing structure was remodeled in 1614. Inside Gyeonggijeon, the portraits of King Tae-jo and other successive kings such as Sun-jong, Cheol-jong, Yeong-jo and many others can be found on display.

• Chungjang-ro Street: Named after the posthumous title of General Kim Deok-ryeong, Chungjang-ro Street was the site of the 1980 Gwangju Democratization Movement. Today, it is Gwangju’s major fashion district, comparable with Myeongdong Street of Seoul.
• Sajik Park: Sajik Park is well landscaped with various trees and flower beds. Around April 15th every year, cherry blossoms are in full bloom creating a splendid scene. During this time, the municipality of Gwangju installs lighting in the trees for citizens to enjoy the blossoms late into the night. The park has become established as a favorite rest area for Gwangju citizens.

• Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve: The field of reeds is home to many plants that thrive in damp conditions, like the common reed and the starwort. Among the world’s wetlands, Suncheonman Bay is widely known for attracting the largest number of rare birds. Internationally rare birds such as the hooded crane, white-naped crane, white stork, black-faced spoonbill, Eurasian Oystercatcher, as well as birds designated as natural treasures, can be spotted here. There are about 140 species of birds including the snipe, wild duck, shelduck, and wild goose in total.
• Jinnam Kwan: Jinnam Kwan Hall (National Treasure No. 304) was the naval base of Jeolla-do Province during the Joseon Dynasty. Admiral Yi Sun-shin used this site as his headquarters, and at that time there was a watchtower called Jinhaeru.
• Odong Island: Odongdo Island of Yeosu is one of the most spectacular spots to appreciate camellias. The camellias on Odongdo Island begin to bloom in November and color the entire island in scarlet until April the following year. Indeed, during this period the entire island looks like a huge camellia blossom.

Busan > Gyeongju

• Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Tumuli Park): Tumuli or barrows are mound of earth and stones raised over graves. The Tomb complex holds 23 burials of royals during Silla Dynasty. Among many tombs, Cheonmachong Tomb (Ancient Tomb No, 155) is arguable one of the important tombs to see, because a total of 11,526 artifacts were discovered within the tomb. Great quantities of artifacts such as weapons and crowns have been excavated and are exhibited in Gyeongju National Museum.

• Cheomseongdae Observatory: Cheomseongdae is the oldest astrological observatory in Asia, which was constructed between AD632-646 (Silla Dynasty). It was designated as National Treasure No.31 in 1962. Total 362 stones were used to make 27 levels and it represented the 362 days in a lunar year.
• Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond: Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the secondary palace site which was used for the palace of the Crown Prince along with other subsidiary buildings and it also was the banquet site for important national event and important visitors.
• Bulguksa Temple: Also listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage, it is the representative relic of Gyeogju. Bulguksa was built during Silla Dynasty and took 30 years to finish it. At the time, there were approximately 80 buildings and 2000 rooms. It was burnt down during Japanese Invasion and although the temple was rebuilt afterwards, it still suffered severe damages and became often the target of robbers.
• Seokguram Grotto: A representative stone temple in Korea, Seokguram is designated as National Treasure No. 24, as well as UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a good example to see the Silla people’s religious beliefs, aspirations and outstanding architecture. You can appreciate beautiful sunrise, so many people climb the mountain at daybreak.

• Mungyeongsaejae Pass: During the Joseon period, MungyeongSaejae played an important role as the gateway in and out of the Gyeongsang province. • Hyupjae Beach: It is one of the popular places that many tourists visit all year round. The white sand beach has extra fine sand mixed with shells that glitters with silver, and the emerald-colored water is crystal clear. Also one of well-known island ‘Biyang do -flown island’ can be seen from Hyupjae beach.
• O’Sulloc Tea garden/ Innisfree: Here, you can learn about Korea’s traditional tea culture. Interestingly, the entire building takes the shape of a green tea cup. It seeks to harmonize the cultures of the West and East, and past traditions with the modern world. You can enjoy unique O’Sulloc teas or views of the nearby green tea fields and the surrounding landscape in the observatory, located at the second floor of the building.

• Sanbangsan Mt.: It is a trachytic tuff lave dome connected to the sedimentary layer of Dragon coast. It is a bell-shaped tholoid that stands tall in the plains of Southwest Jeju.
• Jusangjeoli Cliff [UNESCO GEO Park]: The columnar joints in the Jungmun Tourism Complex were designated as Natural Monument #433 on December 27, 2004. They look like a large folding screen with black hexagon stone pillars. It is a wonder to look at the columnar joints with beautiful ocean waves crashing against them.  
• Teddy Bear Museum: It offers a lot of interesting things to see with various themes such as history and art of Seoul and a tour around the world, in addition to teddy bear’s history of more than 100 years. Displayed Teddy bears are handmade by designers with premium goat wool for high quality. There are other teddy bear-related products available.
• Jeongbang Waterfall: Jeongbang Waterfall is one of three main Jeju waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Cheonjaeyeon Waterfall. It is the only one in Korea which spills directly into the sea. Harmonized with the sea, two 23m-tall columns of water fall with a sound like thunder which makes a magnificent view.
• 1,100 Altitude Wetland: Above 1,100m from sea level, the wetland has been designated as one of the national wetland protected areas. You can take a look at observatory and service area. Also, take a 10-15 min walk through the course and observe diverse species living in the wetlands.
• Mysterious Road: It earned its name ‘Mysterious Road’ because when you place a car on this steep road, the car does not roll down but it goes up, defying gravity. Jeju > Seoul

• Dragon-Head Rock: Yongduam or Dragon-Head Rock, was created by strong winds and waves over thousands of years. It got its name because the rock formation has the shape of a dragon’s head. There are two different legends about the rock. Many believe that black dragon symbolizes bravery, hope and good luck.
• IlChul Land: IlCul Land is an ecological and cultural attraction where you can enjoy different themes such as replica folk village, and Micheongul Cave as well as convenient facilities.
• Seongeup Folk Village: It is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture. Cultural properties have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or ox), fortress ruins, and stone monuments.

• Seopji Coji coast: Seopji Coji is located at the end of eastern shore of Jeju Island. You can see nice view of the ocean from the light house even in winter. The place gets covered with yellow canola fields in the spring and 20-30 min. stroll along the coast is recommended.
• Sunrise Peak: Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, it rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. There is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well.
• Jondalri Seaside road: The tour bus takes beautiful coastline of North-Eastern Jeju and you will pass by Hado Beach & Saehwa beach whilst heading to Manjang cave. Plus, Jongdalri Shore Road is known as for a hydrangea during Summer.
