The Olympic Park’s Olympic Hall is a concert arena in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the buildings of Seoul’s Olympic Park, which had a concert hall conversion in 2011. Along with the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, it serves as a significant K-pop music venue.
On September 29, 1984, construction started on it. The Olympic Hall was converted into a music venue in 2011 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. An extended stage for the 2,452-seat main hall, an exhibition area showcasing the development of Korean pop from the 1920s to the present, and a 240-seat small theatre for independent musicians and emerging artists were all part of the one-year renovation project. On June 22, 2011, it opened to the public with a celebratory performance by seasoned musicians and K-pop acts such as Super Junior, 4Minute, 2NE1,2PM.
If you are a K-pop fan, it is a must for you to take a snap here. Many idols like BTS and IVE also used to have concerts here before.
